Depending on scope, an HVAC technician's work can fall under the compulsory Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic trade (refrigerant-based systems), the compulsory Sheet Metal Worker trade (ductwork and air handling), Gasfitter Class A/B compulsory certification and Technical Safety BC credentials (gas-fired equipment), or applicable electrical qualifications where electrical work falls within regulated scope. Quantus will verify whichever of these credentials apply to a given HVAC technician and the work they perform, rather than treating "HVAC Technician" as one certification.
