We'll verify the credentials tile setters choose to hold
Certification is voluntary for tile setters in BC — many invest in it anyway. Quantus will verify the certifications, insurance, and WorkSafeBC coverage a tile setter does hold at onboarding, so employers can tell verified credentials from claims. Note that voluntary status covers only the general trade — some specialized work can still carry its own separate, mandatory credential.
In British Columbia, certification for tile setters is voluntary — there's no legal requirement to hold a Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal to work as a tile setter. Many do hold certification anyway. Quantus will verify whichever credentials a tradesperson holds at onboarding, so employers can tell confirmed credentials from claims.
