We'll verify the credentials insulators choose to hold
Certification is voluntary for insulators in BC — many invest in it anyway. Quantus will verify the certifications, insurance, and WorkSafeBC coverage a insulator does hold at onboarding, so employers can tell verified credentials from claims. Note that voluntary status covers only the general trade — some specialized work can still carry its own separate, mandatory credential.
In British Columbia, certification for insulators is voluntary — there's no legal requirement to hold a Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal to work as an insulator. Many do hold certification anyway. Quantus will verify whichever credentials a tradesperson holds at onboarding, so employers can tell confirmed credentials from claims.
