How Quantus works
Quantus is a direct marketplace connecting BC's verified skilled tradespeople with the employers who hire them. No staffing agencies, no placement fees — just two sides finding each other directly.
No placement fees · Launching across BC in 2026.
Two sides, one platform
Quantus has two kinds of users: employers (general contractors, property managers, project owners, and small contracting businesses who need to hire skilled trades) and tradespeople (sole-proprietor journeymen, registered apprentices, and certified specialists looking for work).
Employers post jobs or browse for specific trades. Tradespeople build profiles showing their certifications, insurance, and experience. The two sides find each other directly — Quantus stays out of the contract, the rate, and the relationship.
For employers
Tell us about your company, where you operate, and which trades you hire for.
Every tradesperson on Quantus has their Red Seal or C of Q verified against the SkilledTradesBC registry, liability insurance confirmed with their broker, and WorkSafeBC coverage verified via a clearance letter from WorkSafeBC. Filter by trade, city, certification level, insurance status, and experience.
Reach out to tradespeople you want to work with. No agency middleman. No per-placement fee. Quantus tracks timesheets and approvals so the workflow stays clean.
Negotiate rates, scope, and schedule directly with the tradesperson. Hourly or fixed-price. Quantus stays out of the contract.
For tradespeople
Add your trade, certification level, years of experience, the cities you work in, and the kind of work you want.
Quantus verifies your Red Seal, provincial C of Q, or apprentice registration against the SkilledTradesBC registry. We confirm your liability insurance with your broker. And we verify your WorkSafeBC coverage by obtaining a clearance letter directly from WorkSafeBC.
Employers searching for your trade, city, and certification level find your profile. Or get invited directly by employers who want to work with you specifically.
Set your rate. Negotiate scope and schedule directly with the employer. Quantus tracks timesheets and approvals — and never takes a cut of your contract.
What happens after you sign up
You'll get an email confirmation immediately. We'll email you again when Quantus opens up in your area — that's when you can finish your profile and start using the platform.
We verify your trade certification against SkilledTradesBC, confirm your liability insurance with your broker, and obtain a clearance letter from WorkSafeBC to verify your coverage. This typically takes a few business days. Until then, your profile is visible but flagged as pending verification.
You can post jobs or browse tradespeople immediately once we launch. Tradespeople apply or get invited, you review credentials, and you contract directly. No setup fees, no placement fees.
What Quantus doesn't do
Quantus is a marketplace, not an agency. Being explicit about what we don't do helps both sides know what to expect.
We don’t take a cut of contracts. Tradespeople keep what they negotiate. Employers pay the tradesperson directly.
We don’t manage the relationship after you connect. Quantus tracks basic workflow (timesheets, approvals) but the contract, payment, and project management are between you and the other side.
We don’t guarantee work or hires. Quantus surfaces matches; whether to work together is your decision.
We don’t employ tradespeople. Every tradesperson on Quantus is an independent sole proprietor with their own ticket, insurance, and business.

Common questions
What does Quantus cost?
Quantus is currently free for all users during our British Columbia launch — unlimited applications and unlimited job posts. Once paid tiers go live, plans start at $9.99/month for tradespeople and $19.99/month for employers, with free tiers always available for lighter use. See the pricing page for the full tier breakdown.
Is Quantus only for BC?
Quantus launches in British Columbia first — at launch, only BC tradespeople and employers will have platform access. The waitlist is open Canada-wide, and signups from other provinces inform where we expand next. Join the waitlist no matter where you are — you'll be the first to know when Quantus opens in your province.
When does Quantus launch?
We're targeting our British Columbia launch in 2026. Waitlist members get the launch email first.
Is Quantus an agency or a job board?
Neither. Agencies place workers and take a cut. Job boards list postings and leave verification to you. Quantus is a marketplace — we verify credentials before tradespeople can apply, but we don't manage the relationship or take a cut of the work.
