What roofers do in BC
Roofers in BC install and repair roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. With BC's heavy rainfall and coastal climate, quality roofing is critical to building envelope performance. Roofers on Quantus carry WorkSafeBC coverage and liability insurance. Whether you need asphalt shingles, TPO flat roofing, cedar shakes, or complex standing seam metal, Quantus helps you find the right roofer for your project.
We'll verify the credentials roofers choose to hold
Certification is voluntary for roofers in BC — many invest in it anyway. Quantus will verify the certifications, insurance, and WorkSafeBC coverage a roofer does hold at onboarding, so employers can tell verified credentials from claims. Note that voluntary status covers only the general trade — some specialized work can still carry its own separate, mandatory credential.
In British Columbia, certification for roofers is voluntary — there's no legal requirement to hold a Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal to work as a roofer. Many do hold certification anyway. Quantus will verify whichever credentials a tradesperson holds at onboarding, so employers can tell confirmed credentials from claims.
A nationally recognized endorsement showing a tradesperson has met the interprovincial Red Seal standard for the trade, helping facilitate recognition of their certification across Canada.
